Natural Deodorant Benefits
When our teenage children first started using personal care products, we searched for a natural deodorant but couldnāt find any deodorants on the market that werenāt stacked full of nasty chemicals.
Knowing that ingredients like aluminum, parabens, and sulfates have been linked to everything from skin irritation to hormone disruption, we just didnāt want our children rolling these chemicals under their arms.
So we got to work creating our own. Once weād perfected the deodorant for our use, we created the Natural Deodorant line with you in mind!
Our Natural Deodorant contains:
- NO aluminum
- NO petroleum-based chemicals
- NO parabens or phthalates
- JUST Simple, natural ingredients
Natural Deodorant is not an antiperspirant, which means it doesnāt clog your pores to stop your bodyās natural process of sweating. The process of clogging pores is often created by unhealthy chemicals like aluminum. Instead, our natural deodorant works to minimize odors caused by sweat. So if you have a big day of sports or outdoor work in the hot sun, we recommend you reapply after a few hours to keep that fresh scent.
The Oatmeal Milk & Honey Natural Deodorant will prevent embarrassing odor without the use of unsafe and unhealthy chemical ingredients.
How to Use Natural Deodorant
Natural Deodorant is designed to help you smell fresh, but itās slightly different from chemical-based store-bought deodorants or antiperspirants and you don't want to use too much.
To use our Natural Deodorants:
- Dab the deodorant onto your armpit rather than swiping or rubbing it. This will prevent you from using too much.
- Reapply after a few hours if you have a really busy, hot day ahead of you.
It's that simple and can even be used right after shaving.
Do You Need to Detox Before Starting a Natural Deodorant?
If you've been using antiperspirant for many years, the sweat glands in your armpits have been regularly blocked from sweating and removing toxins. When first switching to a Natural Deodorant, your body may have a detox reaction as these glands begin removing toxins that have built up.
If you have a reaction that shows up as a light rash, it could be an allergic reaction to ingredients or it could be a detoxification reaction. This can happen when you switch to other natural skincare and body care products too ā itās your bodyās way of getting rid of nasty chemicals that have built up. Hereās everything you need to know about detoxing your armpits.
If you try to detox your skin and the reaction continues, discontinue use. Please remember this is not medical advice and has not been approved by the FDA.
How to Pick the Right Deodorant for You
Our Natural Deodorants are available in two distinct categories to meet your unique skin and needs:
- Natural Deodorant with baking soda (a well-known antimicrobial)
- Natural Deodorants that are baking soda free (for those with baking soda sensitivities)
Most people are able to handle baking soda without difficulty. But if you know your skin is incredibly sensitive, you may wish to begin with the baking soda-free version.

Ingredients
Ingredients
Ingredients: Coconut oil; Arrowroot powder; Baking soda; Beeswax; Shea butter; Salt; Dehydrated goat milk; Oatmeal Milk & Honey fragrance oil (paraben-free and phthalate-free).
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer that can make your skin feel soft and smooth. Coconut oil has antimicrobial properties, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can help treat skin conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis. Coconut oil has a small amount of natural SPF, so it can provide some minor sun protection for your skin. Coconut oil contains vitamin E, which can help even out your skin tone and reduce dark spots.
Arrowroot Powder
Arrowroot Powder acts as a natural drying agent because it is highly absorptive. Bacteria that cause body odor thrive in damp environments, so arrowroot helps fight body odor because it absorbs sweat and moisture. It also contains many beneficial minerals and vitamins such as zinc, iron, potassium, and Vitamin B6. It is very gentle on skin and can soothe skin irritations originating from rashes, acne, or skin sores.
Baking Soda
Baking soda acts as a natural drying agent because it is highly absorptive. Bacteria that cause body odor thrive in damp environments, so it helps fight body odor because it absorbs sweat and moisture. It is also a deodorizing agent that neutralizes the acidic compounds in sweat thereby preventing the growth and proliferation of odor-causing bacteria. It also reduces wetness and discomfort because it absorbs sweat and excess moisture.
Beeswax
Beeswax contains natural emulsifiers, which help to seal in moisture and protect the skin from dryness, making it an excellent natural moisturizer for chapped lips and dry skin. It has natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which can help to soothe irritated skin and promote healing. Plus, natural beeswax is non-comedogenic, meaning it won't clog pores or cause breakouts, making it ideal for use in skincare products.
Shea Butter
Shea butter is packed with fatty acids that help hydrate, nourish, and keep your skin soft. It helps balance sebum production which prevents the build-up of oil on your skin. It contains cinnamic acid, which has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties that can help to promote healing and prevent infection. It is rich in vitamins A and E, which can help improve skin elasticity and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It also contains antioxidants which help to protect skin from damage caused by free radicals and oxidative stress.
Dehydrated Goat Milk
When making lotions, lip balms, and deodorants, itās not safe to use liquid goat milk because bacteria could grow in the liquid environment. So we source dehydrated goat milk from a reputable supplier for the safety of these items.
Fragrance Oils
Some of our most popular goat milk soaps are scented with fragrance oils. These scents can't be derived from plants and need to be created with a synthetic component. All fragrance oils are certified paraben-free and phthalate-free.

Oatmeal Milk & Honey Natural Deodorant
Lasts Longer and Keeps Me Smelling Great with Less Application
Effective even in the hot humid weather. I didn't experience any switching symptoms and keep on smelling great! The honey sent if powerful so I dab a bit less of it than I do for the unscented one. The tube last longer than the store bought one because you don't need as much.

Oatmeal Milk & Honey Natural Deodorant
All-Day Freshness
I love the Oatmeal & Milk Natural Deodorant. It's the first deodorant that the smell seriously lasts all day long. It's funny, the women at my work like to come into my office because my office "smells so good" (their words) and it's because of this deodorant. Hands down the best deodorant I've ever used, and the bonus is that it's not full of chemicals.

About Us
The Jonas family is a God-loving, hard-working, ever-learning family that seeks to honor Jesus in all that we do.Ā We began Goat Milk Stuff to share the goodness of goat milk with others, to bring Jim home full-time, and to provide an environment where the children could learn to be entrepreneurs. As the children and Goat Milk Stuff have grown, we've been able to watch all of these goals come to fruition. We have a very simple philosophy when it comes to parenting and educating our children.

Meet Our Goats
We breedĀ AlpineĀ andĀ Nigerian DwarfĀ registered dairy goats in Scottsburg, Indiana - only half an hour North of Louisville, Kentucky.Ā Our Alpine dairy goats are raised as naturally as possible. We have a 36 acre farm in Southern Indiana, and the goats spend their days in the woods, in their pastures, or in the barn if there's bad weather.
Baby goats are raised on their mom's colostrum and goat milk. Babies are weaned around 3-4 months old. Since the moms are milked for about 10 months, there is plenty of excess milk to use in our goat milk products.
