Goat Milk Shaving Soap Benefits
Nourishing, gentle and easy-to-use, Goat Milk Shaving Soap makes the job of shaving for men and women a pleasure. When shaving your face, the creamy lather makes accurate shaving easier, caring for your skin by leaving it super hydrated along the way. For legs and other body parts, the visibly creamy lather prevents you from missing hard-to-reach areas.
Every Goat Milk Shaving Soap contains skin-loving ingredients to keep your skin nourished and protected against hard water and the elements. Our favorites include clay to help your razor glide smoothly over your skin, and aloe to relieve any possible razor burn or irritation.
How to use Goat Milk Shaving Soap
Getting a great shave isnāt hard, but there are a few handy steps weāve created to help you get the closest shave possible without irritating your skin.
- Thoroughly dampen the area youāre going to shave: Taking a shower or holding a moist washcloth over the area helps thoroughly wet the hair, leading to less irritation.
- Use great tools: A high quality razor, shave brush, mug, and Goat Milk Shaving Soap are the perfect toolkit. Wet your shaving brush and stir it around the mug with the soap inside. Once youāve created a foamy lather, you know youāre ready to start applying the soap foam! While using a shaving brush will build the most lather, many people find simple hand-lathering to be adequate for a smooth shave.
- Technique: Follow the direction of your hair growth with each stroke of your razor. Keep strokes short while shaving your face, and always use gentle pressure.
- Keep difficult areas wet: Rinse your razor after every 2-3 strokes and ensure you use a good lather around difficult areas. Itās OK if you need to go over some areas again, but make sure you have plenty of lather each time to prevent skin irritation.
- Finish with a cool rinse: Whether youāre shaving your legs or your face, a cool rinse helps close pores and any small nicks in the skin that have occurred during the process.
Goat Milk Shaving Soap Sizes
We make shaving easy by offering one handy size of Goat Milk Shaving Soap. Each round shaving bar weighs 3.5 - 4 oz. and has a 3" diameter, which fits perfectly in most shaving bowls.
All soaps are weighed after their 6 week curing period. If they fall in the appropriate weight range, they are bagged. Please remember that as Goat Milk Soap ages and cures, it loses some water weight. So if the soap you order is much older than 6 weeks, it may weigh a little less than listed. But the longer soap cures, the harder it gets and the longer it lasts!

Raw Goat Milk
Unlike our competitors, we only use goat milk from our own herd of healthy, pastured dairy goats. Our milk travels several hundred feet from our milking parlor to our soaproom. It isn't transported hundreds of miles and it's often turned into soap the same day it is collected. This ultra-fresh milk is as healthy as possible and is high in skin-nourishing ingredients like Selenium, Vitamin A, and Lactic Acid.
Sweet Almond OilĀ
Sweet almond oil is a natural emollient, so it helps moisturize your skin. Itās easily absorbed into skin and contains fatty acids that help to keep skin soft and supple. It has vitamin E, an antioxidant that helps to protect the skin from oxidative stress. It also contains vitamin A, which can help to improve skin tone and complexion. It can help to reduce the appearance of dark circles under the eyes, improve skin texture, and reduce the appearance of stretch marks. It is also anti-inflammatory so it can help soothe and calm irritated skin.Ā
Castor Oil
If you have acne, rosacea, or any other inflammatory skin condition, castor oil's anti-inflammatory properties can help soothe your skin and reduce redness. It contains antimicrobial and antibacterial properties that can help prevent bacteria growth on your skin, which can help you avoid skin infections and breakouts. Castor oil is rich in antioxidants that can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on your skin.Ā
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer that can make your skin feel soft and smooth. Coconut oil has antimicrobial properties, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can help treat skin conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis. Coconut oil has a small amount of natural SPF, so it can provide some minor sun protection for your skin. Coconut oil contains vitamin E, which can help even out your skin tone and reduce dark spots.
Jojoba Oil
Jojoba oil goes deep into your skin to keep it feeling soft. It is ideal for any skin type, from dry skin to oily skin, as it suppresses oil production in the skin while keeping your skin hydrated. Jojoba mimics human sebum without clogging pores or exacerbating acne. It has natural anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties that can calm your skin. It is rich in antioxidants and vitamin E, which helps combat free radicals that cause premature aging.
Olive Oil
Olive oil is a natural emollient, and can keep your skin hydrated and nourished. Its healthy fats can penetrate deeply into your skin, leaving it soft and supple. It is packed with antioxidants like vitamin E and polyphenols that can help neutralize free radicals and reduce inflammation caused by sun damage. This can help prevent signs of aging like wrinkles and fine lines. It contains anti-inflammatory compounds that can help soothe your skin as well as natural antimicrobial compounds that can help fight bacteria on your skin.Ā
Sustainable Palm Oil
Palm oil has great cleansing properties, making it effective at removing dirt, oils, and impurities from the skin. It creates a creamy and stable lather in soap, making the soap rich and foamy! It can help retain moisture in the skin by forming a protective barrier. It contributes to the durability and longevity of the soap, making it less likely to dissolve or become mushy when in contact with water. Sustainable palm oil production helps to end deforestation, protect wildlife and habitats, and treat local people fairly.
Shea Butter
Shea butter is packed with fatty acids that help hydrate, nourish, and keep your skin soft. It helps balance sebum production which prevents the build-up of oil on your skin. It contains cinnamic acid, which has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties that can help to promote healing and prevent infection. It is rich in vitamins A and E, which can help improve skin elasticity and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It also contains antioxidants which help to protect skin from damage caused by free radicals and oxidative stress.
Aloe
Aloe is excellent for dry or irritated skin because it contains polysaccharides that can retain moisture. It also contains anti-inflammatory properties and can help soothe and reduce redness, swelling, and pain from razor burn. It promotes collagen production which helps to heal any minor cuts and nicks from shaving. It also has anti-bacterial properties which aids in preventing skin infections.
Bentonite Clay
Bentonite clay is highly absorbent and can draw out excess oil from the skin. It is a mild exfoliator and helps remove dead skin cells. It has anti-inflammatory properties that can soothe and calm skin that is irritated from shaving. It can also help your razor to glide more smoothly over your skin. Because it is rich in minerals such as magnesium and calcium, it can help to heal skin that has been nicked by razors during shaving which can support skin healing and promote overall skin health.Ā
Vitamin E
Vitamin E oil is a powerful antioxidant than can help your skin look younger because it combats the effects of free radicals which can cause skin aging. It helps moisturize your skin because it stengthens your skin barrier which helps your skin retain moisture. I can also calm your skin by helping to reduce redness, irritation, and inflammation.
Essential Oils
Essential oils are purely plant derived and can provide many benefits for you and your skin. From the relaxing and refreshing effects of oils often used in aromatherapy to the reduction of the effects of skin problems like acne, you will find these oils to be powerful, especially when combined with the wonderful qualities of goat milk.
Fragrance Oils
Some of our most popular goat milk soaps are scented with fragrance oils. These scents can't be derived from plants and need to be created with a synthetic component. All fragrance oils are certified paraben-free and phthalate-free.Ā Ā
Saponified
Saponification is the chemical soapmaking reaction that turns the ingredients into soap. We use sodium hydroxide as the catalyst for bar soap and potassium hydroxide as the catalyst for liquid soap. Neither of these ingredients are left in the finished soap. They have all been used up in the saponification reaction and turned into soap.Ā

About Us
The Jonas family is a God-loving, hard-working, ever-learning family that seeks to honor Jesus in all that we do.Ā We began Goat Milk Stuff to share the goodness of goat milk with others, to bring Jim home full-time, and to provide an environment where the children could learn to be entrepreneurs. As the children and Goat Milk Stuff have grown, we've been able to watch all of these goals come to fruition. We have a very simple philosophy when it comes to parenting and educating our children.

Meet Our Goats
We breedĀ AlpineĀ andĀ Nigerian DwarfĀ registered dairy goats in Scottsburg, Indiana - only half an hour North of Louisville, Kentucky.Ā Our Alpine dairy goats are raised as naturally as possible. We have a 36 acre farm in Southern Indiana, and the goats spend their days in the woods, in their pastures, or in the barn if there's bad weather.
Baby goats are raised on their mom's colostrum and goat milk. Babies are weaned around 3-4 months old. Since the moms are milked for about 10 months, there is plenty of excess milk to use in our goat milk products.
